My ProfitCon 2020 Highlights!

Once again, I had an amazing and inspiring time at ProfitCon this year. Although this conference was held on Zoom, the quality of the content, the speakers, and the energy were truly out of this world!

ProfitCon 2020

The Keynote Speaker for the main conference was Don Miller of Story Brand and if you don’t know him already, you are seriously missing out on someone very special. And while I can go on and on about Don, today I wanted to write about the Keynote for our Mastery Meetup.

While there are over 500 Profit First Professionals in the world, there are only 60 Mastery Profit First Professionals and we are fortunate enough to be one of those 60! And because of this, we start ProfitCon one day ahead of the others for a full-day workshop called “Mastery Meetup”. And this year, our Speaker was John Jantsch of Duct Tape Marketing fame. And he truly did not disappoint. Not only did we get an incredible marketing workshop from him, he went a step further and shared with us something else he is working on.

John Jantsch calls these the “7 Pillars” and “7 Questions to Ask Yourself Every Day” and says he believes these are the keys to happiness 😊, and I say, “why not?”

7 Pillars by John Jantsch

  1. TRUST: Let’s trust ourselves not to be swayed by others.
    • Question: What’s one thing that is holding me back and why am I letting it?
  2. COURAGE: Not risk-taking courage but just being “bold” courage.
    • Question: Who do I need to stop trying to please?
  3. CURIOSITY: Be open to what is new and different.
    • Question: What sort of outrageous experiment can I try today?
  4. MINDFULNESS: Be present right now because that is the only thing within our control.
    • Question: What is something I know I must change to be able to realize my most adventurous life?
  5. NON-JUDGEMENT: Not everything is good or bad – sometimes it just is.
    • Question: What is one critical view or statement that I can release today?
  6. RESILIENCE: Reframe the way we look at things.
    • Question: What is my greatest skill and how can I use it to serve?
  7. GRACE / GRATITUDE: Practice being grateful – every day!
    • Question: What is the most wonderful thing I get to experience? What’s the most inconvenient thing?
